Parker has been really into his toy cars lately. He brings them everywhere now, with a “Beep, beep.” here and a “Beep, beep.” there. So naturally he took them outside to play on our front rocks while I tended to the flower bed. Just wanted to share some cute shots.

I’ve been a busy little knitter lately. A couple of gifts, and a little something for myself.

Making this tank top for a friend of mine. I’ve made the pattern before so you would think it would go faster the second round…not so. It is half done and I just need to buck up and finish it.

I made this little hat for a new coming baby in the family. First baby hat I’ve ever made, and first time using double point needles, which were a lot easier than I had thought they would be.

And for me – a lovely pair of socks. I had wanted to try making socks for some time now, but was a little intimidated. After mastering the double point needles with the baby hat, knitting socks is a piece of cake. Almost done with the second one.

Cherry tomatoes that is. The first pick of the year, straight out of my own garden. So delicious indeed, although Parker won’t even try one. I think the squishy consistency is a bit of a turn off for him. Maybe next year he’ll know what’s good for him.
Featured in my beautiful new mug that was a very special gift for when I house-sat a few weeks ago. Love it! Have definitely been toying with the idea of having coffee again.

Parker and I were able to go with our friends Whitney & Ray for a mini vacation at their family cabin for a couple of days. It was the most peaceful place that I’ve been in a long time. Everything was so beautiful, I couldn’t help but take a million pictures. We had a great time just relaxing and I think the boys really enjoyed themselves too.

The water was freezing and I did go in at one point. It was so cold that my heart and lungs were gasping for breath, but the boys make it look as if it was warm and fun to play in.

I don’t feel there are many words that can describe how amazing the slopestyle event was this year at Winter Park, Colorado Crankworx. Maybe this video from Vital MTB can help you visualize.

Also, be sure to see the awesome photos Justin took.
